Smaller, lighter, with active noise cancellation
My old AirPods v2 are well past their best. The left one barely holds a charge, the right is a bit better... but neither is great. Since I use my Sony WH-1004MX a lot it wasn't really bothering me. When Apple announced the new generation with ANC though, my ears perked up. Noise cancellation is exactly what I value most in earbuds. Easy choice — rather than the cheaper AirPods, I went for the ones with ANC.

Overall smaller and lighter, though the case is a bit wider. Pairing takes seconds. The one thing you have to get used to is the controls — it's all done via the stem button. A press, a longer press, or press and hold... I really like having more noise cancellation modes — off, transparency, adaptive, and full ANC. Voice detection is there too, automatically lowering the audio when you start talking. Especially useful when someone's talking to you and you reply.
