# Or: why they're so annoying

Every **second Tuesday** of the month **Microsoft** releases updates for its products. Imagine my surprise when after the **mandatory restart** I had to restart **again**! I can't get my head around why twice. If it were system files **I'd understand**, but a .NET Framework and IE update I'd classify as ordinary system components. Comparing the situation to **Linux**, where a restart is only required for a **kernel update** — I can't recall it being needed anywhere else. It strikes me as quite **comical**. I can think of plenty of questions... but no sensible answers.

To use the latest Dexcom sensors (G7) with the Tandem X2:slim insulin pump, you need to do an update. I'll skip all the individual steps since they're well described on the [website](https://www.aimport.cz/hledate-update-vasi-pumpy) of the local distributor. Once you've got everything ready, it's time for the update.
