# Who wouldn't want faster internet?

And when you have it, you're still not happy. Why? Because speed goes hand in hand with connection quality. *If I had a stable 1.5 Mbit/s connection I wouldn't say a word*. Right now it's 4.6 Mbit/s but a moment later it can drop to 0.5 Mbit/s. Stability numbers swing from **26.4**% to a nearly impressive 94.7%, with a median of 52% — so you can probably imagine what it's like. One minute it's working, then it drops, then it comes back, and so on in an endless loop.

The funniest part is that if I were doing something else I'd just shrug it off. When you can actually see what's going on **it's enough to make you cry**… Sometimes I revive the connection by resetting the router, other times I just wait for my ISP's server to come to its senses. Like today — the traceroute made it all the way to the last gateway but beyond that **not a peep**…

# Or: goodbye Turris

Given that online learning was coming up, I finally tackled something I'd been putting off — a factory reset of my Turris router. Why? Well, after one update I **couldn't** manage the router through the UI. I kept seeing **Bad gateway**. After reboots, endless updates and tweaking a...
