Liftor, Modesk or Delso?
Since I have the option to work from home, I wanted to set up a workspace that meets today's standards. I wanted a gas monitor arm, a connection hub, a height-adjustable desk and a chair. Let's start with the desk.
Two ads were popping up at me — one from Liftor and another from Modesk. The first one is the Kovy brand and the second is a beautiful design piece. However, when you look at the price... I decided to just get a frame. The desktop material was left over from cabinet makers after they made our hallway wardrobes.
Since I wanted a thick top — 38mm — and a long one, I needed matching specs. The choice fell on motors in both desk legs. Unfortunately the control panel couldn't be changed, so instead of basic up/down buttons I ended up with a panel featuring three presets.
Compared to the competition, assembling a Delso desk isn't quick. There's a lot of screwing — it took me a good 2 hours in total. After that it's just a matter of setting the presets for the desk height and you're done!
