What it feels like to shoot full frame

After a few weeks with an FX body, I find I much prefer shooting at 85mm over the 50mm I used to love. Subjectively, I just like the photos from the longer lens a lot more. The explanation is fairly simple: 50mm@DX ×1.5 ∼ 85mm@FX

So 50mm on FX should feel similar to 35mm on DX. But subjectively it doesn't, at least for me. I've had the chance to shoot with 35mm on DX, and the results give me a completely different feeling than 50mm on FX. That said, I'm not writing off the 50mm prime. Its time will come!
