During a kitchen renovation I needed to fill a few screw holes and level out a wall.

The obvious choice was plaster — but as I found out, its consistency and how fast it sets in hot weather is far from ideal. It hardened before I could finish what I needed to do. Second time around I went with plaster filler, the kind used for filling gaps between drywall panels. Perfect consistency, it set much more slowly even in the heat. A real pleasure to work with.

Next time the choice is obvious — filler!
