You need a carrier!
Because I commute to work by train (S6) I take advantage of the fact that it's part of the integrated transport system. All the stops I use are in zones 100+101. So a šalinkarta is enough for me. On the train, however, unlike with the city transport operator (DPMB), you can't verify with a QR code. You need a carrier — virtual or physical.
So it forces you to have a physical payment card, and why? Because if you're on iOS, every update rotates the tokens in Apple Pay (your card number changes). So a ticket check by an inspector ends up as an invalid ticket. Hence the physical card.
I went about it the roundabout way — I asked an AI to find out what options there are. Turns out there's something called an IDS JMK transport card, which is accepted as a carrier for DPMB too and most importantly... it's NFC. So I have the card, but I don't carry it. I've got it copied to my Flipper Zero, which I carry anyway...

It wouldn't take much — just accept the QR code. Since the e-shop backend is the same. Or rather they can see into each other's data — as I found out when I visited the contact centre.
