Phone instead of a card

While looking into the hotel where I was staying in Prague, I discovered it also supports Mobile Key! Which is a dream — no need to carry a card around and risk degaussing it with your phone. Try it sometime: leave your phone and card right next to each other and you'll find the phone's radiation "damages" it enough that you can't get in.

So my choice was obvious — at check-in I asked them to activate Mobile Key. A moment later my phone beeped and that was it. No fuss. Just turn on Bluetooth, tap the virtual card, and hold it up to the reader. That's all. A moment later the screen goes green and you carry on.

It works in the elevator too! More hotels like the Marriott, please.
