The journey to the antipodes

Arrival

Getting to Australia takes… long. And if you survive that, a brilliant experience awaits. First you have to go through immigration procedures that include checking what you're bringing in — including what you have on your soles. If there's mud on your shoes they'll wash them for you.

Atmosphere

In one word: fantastic! Australians are polite and friendly like the English, with the sociability of Americans. The local climate completes the picture — even in November it's quite warm.

Fauna/Flora

A walk through a eucalyptus forest is an experience. So is encountering a kangaroo or a koala at genuinely close range. One must keep in mind, however, that Australia is a continent full of venomous snakes, spiders, and one shouldn't forget about crocodiles either.
