Don't expect an amenity kit in Economy on a long-haul flight

I've done several transatlantic flights — two with British Airways, two with Singapore Airlines, and four with Lufthansa. In the past I was surprised to receive a pillow, blanket and other bits. I didn't pay much attention to it.

It surprised me, then, when we flew to Denver — albeit in Economy Class — with the same carrier (Lufthansa) and didn't get an amenity kit. It's quite an unpleasant surprise. Not that I'd miss the socks, but an eye mask comes in handy. Especially when you're travelling with people who don't respect "night mode".
