What it's like to fly on one of the most iconic aircraft in the world
This was my first time on this iconic aircraft. It truly is a massive machine — two decks, four engines, an enormous wingspan, and a towering tail.
On that same day we visited the Titan II intercontinental missile museum. The guide mentioned that the thrust of the rocket equals that of two Jumbos. An unimaginable amount of power. Even sitting in your seat with the engines at full power you can feel the push.
Subjectively I felt I had more legroom than on a B777. They're a somewhat different type of aircraft, though both are used on long-haul routes.
From a passenger's perspective I'll definitely fly the B747 again. I hope to see the latest version too.
