Arizona Experience

Weather

One word: amazing. Cool in the mornings, temperatures climbing to 22–23°C during the day. Rock and sand as far as the eye can see. Cacti and palms instead of trees. Didn't spot any rattlesnakes or scorpions.

Landscape

The landscape was fascinating. Flat on one side, but the mountains were massive. Right behind the resort they soared up to 2,500 m. We headed out to Pusch Ridge Wilderness Area. The road was all switchbacks and views. Perfect for a drive just before sunset. At the top, we were greeted by snow — a bit of a surprise.

Pima Air & Space, Titan Museum

Since we were in Tucson, we had to visit. Besides Old Tucson (where the old Westerns were filmed), there's also an aviation museum and an intercontinental missile museum — and those are exactly what we went to see.
