I was used to the installer always partitioning the drive.

Even if it wasn't always the most sensible partitioning, there were at least two logical drives. Today I nearly lost my mind...

The laptop has a 750 GB drive and the installer didn't partition it at all! One single partition — and a nicely large one. Whatever Microsoft's PR department wants to claim about fragmentation not being an issue: 750 GB in one chunk, and on the system drive at that, isn't exactly a great idea — it's an outrage!
