I made fire.
It wasn't the first time, nor the last — yet it was something special. The classic lighter-and-newspaper method isn't exactly my favourite. That's why I wanted to try out the flint on my knife.
I went into the forest for tinder — birch bark was the ideal candidate. I gathered a small handful. I layered progressively thicker and thicker twigs on top of it. I struck the flint and nothing... struck again and saw smoke... struck a third time and saw a flame. That's how I made fire for the first time.
