The journey from Prague to Brno was quite an adventure.

My colleague and I wanted to take Student Agency. No luck — sold out until 13:30 (it was 10:30 at the time). So we went with the competition, Eurolines. We bought tickets and waited for the bus. Imagine our surprise when a Ford Transit with a trailer pulled up and started collecting passengers heading towards Slovakia (those going as far as Brno). Once capacity was reached, the driver informed us that they'd sold more tickets than there were seats and we'd get a refund at the counter! Student Agency was still sold out (we didn't want to sit around Prague for more hours), so we headed to the main station and chose the train. It unexpectedly arrived late and was packed to the point where we stood the entire way to Brno. But we made it!

The journey from Prague to Brno took us approximately 5 hours! It baffles me how Student Agency doesn't add extra services when it's a Friday, everything is sold out, and demand is clearly there. As for Eurolines' strategy (pick up those going furthest and in Jihlava let others board a bus) — I won't comment because I'd be rude. Czech Railways doesn't need a comment — they got us home and for that they deserve credit.
