there and back again

I ordered a few models. The sender dispatched the parcel on Wednesday 25.2., by the next day it was already in Brno and out for delivery. Unfortunately the delivery driver was so overzealous that he immediately sent the parcel back to the sender with the note "Recipient unknown." My mailbox is properly labelled, though I should add that I'm not listed in the building's residents directory — which I see no reason for anyway. When I received the tracking email that evening I checked where the parcel was. Imagine my surprise when I saw what had happened and that the parcel was already on its way back. First thing in the morning I called the post office to stop it and pick it up. To my surprise it was already on its way back. The lady apologised but couldn't stop the parcel. The next day I called the post office it was headed to. The lady there would have been happy to help, but the decision had to come from the supervisor — which meant I had to call back on Monday 2.3. to sort it out. Already on Saturday I found a form that allows a parcel held at a post office to be forwarded to another post office in the Czech Republic. I filled in all the required details and submitted the request. I got an email saying the request was being processed. Side note: up to that point I hadn't received any confirmation that my request had been approved and that the parcel would be sent to the address I specified. On Monday the supervisor informed me that the parcel was already being sent to Brno. Exactly one week later, on 5.3., from the first delivery attempt in Brno, I picked it up — where else but at the post office.
