Shooting with a Canon EOS 6D
I was asked to photograph a christening. With a Canon. Well, that was a challenge. I quickly read through the manual to understand where to find the right button — specifically how to change aperture, shooting mode, ISO,... what didn't click for me was changing the focus points.
Eventually I figured out how to select the focus point I wanted. It was far from intuitive, and after watching several how-to videos and reading the manual I don't feel like there's any easier way to do it.
It was an interesting experience. The fast lens (Sigma f1.4 HSM DG) did a great job. But I stand by my view that the ergonomics of Nikon cameras are far superior — from the way you turn them on to selecting the focus point.
