What's it like?

Due to an order from the Chief Medical Officer of the Ministry of Defence, I had to take a PCR test for COVID-19 before starting my military exercise. All my important personal details are stored in ISIN (Infectious Disease Information System) — I just had to register by phone.

The PCR test tells you whether you have antibodies — i.e. whether you're infectious. What's a little odd is that my identity wasn't checked, so hypothetically someone else could have gone in my place...

The swab itself is quick. You lean back, the swab goes into one nostril and then the other. It tickles — quite a lot. A few tears and it's done. Results will be ready within 48 hours. They'll be stored in the information system and also emailed to me.

Update 20/06/2020 9:19 — I received an SMS and email; the test was negative.
